VESTAL, N.Y. –Hartford baseball fell to Binghamton, 1-0, in the final game of the America East weekend series.
Junior
Jackson Olson went 1-3 with a double,as the Hawks fall to 13-26 overall and 7-8 in the America East. Daniel Franchi went 2-4 with a double,as the Bearcats improve to 18-17 on the season and 8-6 in conference play.

Neither team could find a run through the first six innings, until the bottom of the seventh. After Franchi singled up the middle, he took advantage of a failed pickoff attempt to move over to third base. Franchi then took advantage of another mistake by Hartford, scoring on a wild pitch for the first run of the game.
Hartford attempted to rally in the top of the ninth, starting with sophomore
Drew DeMartino taking first base after being hit by a bitch. Freshman
Donnie Cohoon came on to pinch run and immediately stole second. After a strikeout brought the Hawks to their final out, junior
Robert Carmody walked, putting runners on first and third. However, Hartford was unable to capitalize, as the Bearcats secured the final out of the game for the series sweep of Hartford.
