WEST HARTFORD, Conn. –Hartford baseball fell behind early to in-state foe Quinnipiac and could not recover, as the Hawks fell to the Bobcats, 10-3, in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon.
Senior
Ashton Bardzell went 2-5 with a double and a RBI, as Hartford falls to 11-16 overall.Senior Brian Moskey finshed 3-5 with a RBI and a run scored, as the Quinnipiac improves to 13-16 on the year.

After the Bobcats jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first inning, the Hawks settled in, holding Quinnipiac scoreless until the seventh inning.
Hartford scored its first run in the game in the fourth inning, as sophomore
Drew DeMartino hit a sacrifice fly to center field and scoring Bardzell from third, making the score 7-1.
The Hawks then closed within five in the sixth inning, as junior
Robert Carmody double to left center field, plating junior
Jackson Olson and cutting the Bobcats' lead to 7-2.
After Quinnipiac scored another run in the top of the seventh, Hartford would close within five one last time. With junior
Zachary Ardito on first, Bardzell knocked a double to right center field, bringing Ardito all the way around from first base and bringing the score to 8-3.
The Bobcats, however, scored two more insurance runs in the top of the eighth to close out the 10-3 win.
