FULLERTON, Calif. — A pair of goals from Christian Pinzon and Oscar Flores guided Cal State Fullerton past the Hartford men's soccer team, 2-0, at Titan Stadium on Friday evening. The Titans move to 1-0 on the season, while the Hawks fall to 0-1 with their defeat in the 2019 season opener.
CAL STATE FULLERTON 2, HARTFORD 0
The Titans held a 6-3 shot advantage in the first half and took the lead after 35 minutes when Pinzon curled a shot just past the reach of senior goalkeeper,
Jimmy Slayton. The Hawks' offense started the second half strong before the Titans would score their second on the night. Oscar Flores found space in the top of the box and placed the ball in the bottom right corner to give Cal State Fullerton the 2-0 advantage after 63 minutes of play.
Junior forward
