NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. — Hartford made it two wins in a row as they took down Niagara, 1-0, on a blustery evening at Niagara Field on Friday. Sophomore
Kamer Nuhiu scored in the 62nd minute to give the Hawks the victory. Hartford improves to 2-2 on the year while Niagara drops to 1-4 with the loss.

The Purple Eagles dominated the run of play in the first half as they out shot the Hawks, 5-1, in the opening 45 minutes. Senior goalkeeper
Jimmy Slayton was called into action early as he made two key saves in the first 15 minutes to keep the game scoreless. The momentum would switch midway through the first half as Niagara had a man sent off in the 23rd minute. Jordan Acevedo would be shown the red card after making a two-footed challenge, forcing the Purple Eagles to play with ten men for the remainder of the game. Sophomore
Sergi Martinez registered the lone shot for the Hawks as his 37th minute strike found the outside netting.
The Hawks one-man advantage wouldn't last long as Jordan Koudah was sent off eight seconds into the second half, forcing both teams to play with ten men for the rest of the game. Niagara would look to take advantage of the red card in the 49th minute, but Slayton made yet another big save to keep the score leveled at zero. The Hawks would break the deadlock in the 62nd minute when sophomore
Tomer Drimmer put in a beautiful cross from a free kick to give Nuhiu a simple tap in for the 1-0 lead. The assist would be the first of Drimmer's career. The Purple Eagles would have one last chance in the closing seconds, but the Hawks defense stood strong to preserve the 1-0 victory. Hartford out shot Niagara, 3-2, in the second half.
