WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — ESPN College Basketball Analyst Seth Greenberg will be the guest emcee for the Hartford Hawks Men's Basketball Tip-Off Dinner on Friday, Oct. 11. The event serves as the primary fundraiser for the men's basketball program at the University of Hartford.

Held at Wampanoag Country Club in West Hartford, Conn., the event will begin with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner and program to follow. Individual tickets are $85, while table sponsorships — which includes a table of eight, recognition on printed materials at the event and four tickets to a men's basketball home America East game in 2019-20 — are available for $1,000.
 
Greenberg joined ESPN in 2012 as a college basketball analyst, bringing 35 years of coaching experience to the job. He won 383 games and secured 11 postseason appearances in his 22 years as a head coach, which included stints at Long Beach State, South Florida and Virginia Tech. In his most recent stop, Greenberg, a two-time ACC Coach of the Year, led the Hokies to six postseason appearances in nine seasons (2003-12). 
 
In addition to Greenberg, head coach John Gallagher and student-athletes from the men's basketball team will also be featured in the program. Additionally, members of the Hawks will join attendees during the dinner hour. The evening will also be highlighted by performances from Hartt School of Music students.
 
Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid on game experience packages, including meals with the Hartford men's basketball team and inside access to pregame chalk talks for select home and away games.

The Hawks are coming off their most successful two-year run since Hartford transitioned to Division I in 1984-85. During that stretch, Hartford has combined for 37 wins, including a school-record 19 in 2017-18. The Hawks open the 2019-20 season on the road at neighboring Central Connecticut on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
