WEST HARTFORD, Conn. —Five different Hawks found the back of the net, but a big run in the first half helped Army West Point take a 20-5 decision from the Hartford women's lacrosse team on Al-Marzook Field on Friday night. The Hawks fall to 0-3, while the Black Knights, who had five players register a pair of goals each, remain undefeated at 3-0.
ARMY 20, HARTFORD 5
Sophomore goalie
Emma Privitera made five of her eight first-half saves in the first 11 minutes to help the Hawks remain within striking distance. But the Black Knights quickly added on to their 2-1 lead, scoring six straight goals within a six-minute stretch to pull ahead, 8-1.
Freshman
Shannon Tuozzo would end the run with her fourth goal of the season, but the Army offense continued to run on all cylinders, as it ended the half with six more goals. Junior
Birdie Montes joined rookies
Jillian Westerby and
Sabrina Sands with second-half tallies for Hartford in a stanza that saw Army hold a 6-3 advantage on the scoreboard.

- Redshirt-freshman Hanna Ramsey registered nine saves in the final 30 minutes
- Maddie Burns earned the win in goal for Army after seeing 25 minutes of action
- Tuozzo and Westerby won four draw controls apiece for the Hawks, while junior Kaitlyn D'Andrea, who added a goal, collected a team-best four ground balls
