Yale came storming out of the gates by delivering five goals within the first eight minutes of action. Vazquez and Wehner would bookend a JoJo Gum goal with a pair of scores 80 seconds apart, but the Bulldogs answered by scoring three of the next four to go up, 9-3, at intermission.

The second half was tightly contested, with the Bulldogs holding a slight 8-7 edge during the 30-minute spurt. Vazquez scored on a pair of free-position goals to complete the hat trick, while D'Andrea, who scored all three of her goals in the second half, also capitalized on a pair of free-position opportunities.
