Baseball Drops Saturday Road Contest at Stetson

DELAND, Fla. – Hartford baseball suffered its first loss of the season after falling to Stetson on the road, 9-0, on Saturday evening at Melching Field.

With the loss the Hawks fell to 1-1 on the season, whole the Hatters improved to 5-1 with the win.

The Hatters jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after tallying a run in both the first and second innings. Stetson added to its lead after scoring a combined seven runs in the fourth and fifth innings and eventually hung on for the 9-0 victory.
