HARTFORD 75, BINGHAMTON 74
Binghamton was hot coming out of the gates, making 11-of-17 from the field to take a commanding 26-2 lead. Hartford made a dent in its deficit, though, as a 22-6 run capped by a D.J. Mitchell three closed the gap to 36-25 with 4:38 to left. At halftime, the Hawks trailed the Bearcats, 44-31.

Despite closing the gap down to five, Hartford found itself down by 12 at 64-55 with 6:11 to go. Facing a 66-58 deficit with just over five minutes left, the Hawks scored 14 of the next 17 points with Carter's three giving Hartford its first lead of the game at 72-69 with 95 seconds remaining.

Binghamton would take its final lead of the game on a Hakon Hjalmarsson triple with 24 seconds left, but the Hawks answered, as Carter muscled in the go-ahead bucket. With seven seconds left to play, the Bearcats had one final look at the win, but Sessoms' three-pointer was off the mark.
