GOODYEAR, Ariz. — Junior
Ryan Tomaso led the Hartford men's golf team at the Loyola Intercollegiate, finishing in a tie for 63rd place at the Hawks' 2020 spring season opener. Hartford finished in 18th place at the three-day event, which was hosted by Loyola (Md.) at Palm Valley Golf Club.

TOURNAMENT NOTES & HARTFORD HIGHLIGHTS
- Tomaso closed out the tournament with an even-par 72 on Monday to finish with a 5-over 221 (74-75-72)
- Hartford's second finisher was junior Matthew Schwab, who combined for a 9-over 225 (77-74-74) to finish tied for 82nd
- Also closing out the third round with an even-par 72, junior Eric Evans, who tied for 90th with an 11-over 227 (82-73-72)
- Drake edged Eastern Michigan by one stroke (849) to take home the team title
- Delaware's Roberto Nieves earned medalist honors after shooting an 11-under 205 (67-71-67)
Hartford heads to the Sunshine State for the Lonnie Barton Invitational. Held at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla., the two-day event tees off on Monday, March 9.
