Moses Flowers and sophomore
Hunter Marks. Carter took home Third Team All-Conference and All-Defensive Team honors, while Flowers and Marks were named to the All-Rookie Team and All-Academic Team, respectively.

J.R. Lynch. The Voorhees, N.J., native was dominant in America East action, as he was the only player in the league to average a double-double. Ellison completed conference play ranked first in rebounding (10.4 rpg), third in scoring (19.7 ppg), third in field-goal percentage (.519) and tied for fourth in blocks (1.1 per game).
A grad transfer from Pitt, Ellison is averaging 18.9 points in 21 starts, while his 10.3 rebounds per game on the season rank 22nd in the nation. In addition, the combo guard/forward recently corralled his 500th career rebound against Maine on Tuesday, and he is four points away from reaching 1,000 on his career.
Transferring to Hartford after completing his undergraduate career at La Salle, Carter was one of the most versatile guards in the America East this season. Dishing out 4.8 assists per game to shatter the Hawks' single-season program record in the category with 149, the Philadelphia native bolstered his numbers during the America East slate. In addition to averaging 10.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, Carter led the league with 5.4 assists per contest — including a program single-game record 13 in Hartford's regular-season finale against Maine — and a 2.3 assist-to-turnover ratio during the 16-game slate.
Carter is the second player in three years to earn a spot on the All-Defensive Team, joining Hassan Attia (2018). In total, Gallagher has landed five players on the team.
Carter totaled a league-high 47 steals during conference play — including a single-game record nine thefts in a win at UAlbany in January — to lead all America East players with 2.9 per game. With 78 steals on the season, Carter, who enters the America East Playoffs ranked No. 7 in the nation in steals per game, also became Hartford's single-season record holder in the category.
Hartford's first All-Rookie Team selection since 2012, Flowers has put up impressive numbers in his first season with the Hawks. Earning America East Rookie of the Week honors a league-best four times, the Dorchester, Mass., native ranked second among the league's rookies during conference play with 10.6 points per game, adding 3.7 rebounds and 26 makes from behind he arc.
Marks becomes the second player in as many seasons — and the fourth in program history — to earn a spot on the America East All-Academic Team. The Phillip Island, Australia, native has enjoyed a breakout year on the court. One of three players to average double figures on the season with 10.4 points per game, he is second on the team in rebounding (6.1 per game) and blocks (18), while his 41 three-pointers are third-most on the squad.
Inside the classroom, Marks holds a 3.73 GPA as an entrepreneurial studies major.
Entering the 2020 Hercules Tires America East Playoffs as the No. 3 seed, the Hawks play host to No. 6 UMass Lowell in the quarterfinals on Saturday at 5 p.m. Hartford looks to advance to the semifinals of the America East Playoffs for the third time in as many seasons.
