Bryce Zimmerman tied for 15th and sophomore
Conor Byrne tied for 20th place to lead the Hartford men's golf team at the UConn Invitational at Great Horse Golf Club. The Hawks finished in 12th place among the 16-team field.

TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS
- Zimmerman had a solid event playing as an individual
- The rookie combined for a season-low 6-over 222 to post his first career top-15 finish
- Bryne tallied a three-round score of 7-over 223 to lead Hartford at the event
- Carding a 1-over 73 in Tuesday's final round, graduate student Ryan Tomaso finished in a tie for 47th with a 12-over 228
- Senior Danny Frodigh, who turned a team-low round of even-par 72 over the final 18, finished with a 13-over 229 for 51st place
- Landing a pair of top-10 finishers, URI won the team title after nudging tournament host UConn by two strokes
- Caleb Manuel earned medalist honors for the Huskies after leading the field with an 11-under 205

Following a 21-day hiatus, the Hawks conclude their 2021 fall campaign with a trip Powells Point, N.C., for the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate. Held at Kilmarlic Golf Club, the competitive three-day event begins on Tuesday, Oct. 26
