Men's Lacrosse Falls to Stony Brook

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — No. 20 Stony Brook used a 6-0 run in the second quarter to secure a 17-6 win against the Hartford men's lacrosse team Saturday on Al-Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium. Junior Carter O'Connell scored two goals for the Hawks (0-5 overall), who drop to 0-5 in conference play.
 
With their fourth straight win, the Seawolves (6-3) improve to 4-1 in the America East. Tom Haun paced 12 different Stony Brook goal scorers with three goals, while Dylan Pallonetti recorded a game-high five points on two goals and three assists.

Hartford took the lead seven seconds after opening faceoff on an unassisted score from freshman Ethan Landymore. But the Seawolves dominated the remainder of the first half with a 10-1 scoring advantage to take an eight-goal lead into the intermission. The Hawks outscored the Seawolves, 2-1, in the third, but Stony Brook held the upperhand in the final stanza, netting five of the game's final seven goals to secure the 17-6 victory.
