UALBANY 2, HARTFORD 1
The opening 45 minutes would feature a back-and-forth game, as both sides created numerous scoring opportunities. The best chance for the Hawks came in the 38th minute when Rasmus Karlsson's header rattled off of the crossbar. Neither team would be able to create another clear cut opportunity as the game remained scoreless entering the halftime break.

The second half would start off much like the first, as both teams looked to gain control of the match. UAlbany would break the deadlock in the 63rd minute with a goal from Adam Aoumaich. Rotem Fadida would come up big in net for the Hawks a minute later, denying Aoumaich a chance to double the Great Danes' lead. Etienne would then try his luck in the 65th minute, but his shot fell straight to the UAlbany goalkeeper. The Great Danes would double their lead in the 80th minute. Fadida would be called upon once more, making an unbelievable across goal save to deny UAlbany a third goal. Fadida's save would give the Hawks momentum as Nadav Datner found Etienne cutting into the box and rifled a shot into the back of the net, cutting the lead to 2-1 in the 85th minute. The Hawks would battle until the end, looking for the equalizer but the fell,  2-1.
