MAINE 16, HARTFORD 6
After a scoreless first inning, Maine struck first for three runs in the second fram to jump out to an early 3-0 advantage. The Hawks responded with a run of their own behind graduate student Nik Pagan's sacrifice fly to score sophomore Tremayne Cobb Jr. from third to trim the deficit to 3-1.

Hartford cut the score to 3-2 in the bottom of the third inning, after senior John Thrasher hit a sacrifice fly to center to score fellow senior Kyle Hawes from third. Later in the inning, sophomore Derek Tenney launched a two-run bomb off the Fiondella Field scoreboard to give the Hawks a 4-3 lead. However, the Black Bears responded with a combined six runs in the fourth and and fifth innings to take a commanding 9-4 lead.

The deficit proved to be too much, as the Hawks eventually fell, 16-6.
