Hartford tees off its fall campaign with the Ryan Lee Memorial Intercollegiate, held at Hop Meadow Country Club in neighboring Simsbury, Conn. The two-day tournament begins on Saturday, Sept. 11. Following the season debut, the Hawks head to Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Conn., for the 11th running of the Hartford Hawks Invitational (Sept. 20-21).
"The Ryan Lee Memorial is a great event for an excellent cause, and it is right around the corner from campus in Simsbury," said Stankevich. "As usual, our Hartford Hawks Invitational features another strong field of teams. After missing last year's event due to COVID-19, it will be great to be back at Bull's Bridge in the Litchfield Hills."
After its host tournament, Hartford remains in New England for its next two events. Kicking off that stretch is The MacDonald Cup, a two-day event held at The Course at Yale in New Haven, Conn. (Sept. 25-26). The month of October tees off on Oct. 3-5, with the UConn Invitational at Great Horse Country Club in Hampden, Mass.
Hartford's fall season finale lands the Hawks in Powells Point, N.C., for the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Invitational Intercollegiate. Held at Kilmarlic Golf Club, the three-day event begins on Oct. 24.
"The MacDonald Cup and the UConn Invitational are both tremendous events that are held at two of the best venues in New England in The Course at Yale and Great Horse Country Club," said Stankevich. "The ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, which has been a regular stop for us each fall, is always a terrific event on the Outer Banks that gives our team the opportunity to play in much different conditions against some quality teams that we won't see for the rest of the year."
