SIMSBURY, Conn. —
Bryce Zimmerman had a strong collegiate debut, as he tied for sixth place to lead the Hartford men's golf team at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate. The Hawks finished in a tie for fifth place at their senior debut, a 36-hole event that was held at Hop Meadow Country Club this weekend.

TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS & NOTES
- Zimmerman finished in a three-way tie for sixth place after carding a two-round score of 1-under 143 on the par-72 course
- The freshman had a spectacular second round with a 70 (-2)
- Sophomore Conor Byrne was Hartford's next golfer to score, as he tied for 19th with a 2-over 146
- Graduate student Ryan Tomaso, who concluded the weekend with a 71 (-1) Sunday, carded a 4-over 148 to tie for 32nd
- Senior Danny Frodigh rounded out the Hawks' scorers after tying for 49th with a 7-over 151
- Playing as an individual, senior Jared Winiarz tallied a 2-over 146 to finish in a tie for 19th
- His weekend was highlighted by a 69 (-3) in Saturday's opening round, marking the Hawks top single-round score of the tournament
- Boston College took home the team title after finishing four strokes ahead of Fairleigh Dickinson with a team score of 572
- The tournament's top finisher also came from the Eagles, as Mac Lee carded a 5-under 67 on Sunday to nudge Bryant's Tyler Hahn and Fairleigh Dickinson's Leon Heitz with a 5-under 139
