WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Head coach Polly Thomason announced the 2022-23 schedule for the Hartford women's basketball team. The Hawks are set for a 27-game schedule, with eight of those contests to be played inside Chase Arena at Reich Family Pavilion.

"It is an exciting time to be Hawks! We are excited to represent the University of Hartford and go toe-to-toe with some of the best teams in the country," said Thomason. "We are looking forward to Hawk Nation coming out and supporting us at home and on the road."
 
Hartford opens the 2022-23 campaign with its home opener inside Chase Arena against Long Island University on Nov. 12.
 
After the home opener, it's back to the road for the Hawks for their next seven games, starting with Quinnipiac on Nov. 14. The team then travels to Massachusetts for two games against Boston University and Stonehill. The Hawks take on the Terriers on Nov. 19, before facing off with the Skyhawks on Nov. 21.  
 
Four days later Hartford will turn its attention to the Providence Friar Thanksgiving Classic. The Hawks start the tournament facing off with host Providence College on Nov. 25, before taking on Bryant Nov. 26 and capping off the weekend on Nov. 27 against Weber State.
 
Following the Thanksgiving break in action, Hartford returns to the court for the final game of its seven-game road trip, matching up with Brown on Dec. 3. Just two days later the Hawks return home to welcome Cornell to Chase Arena on Dec. 5. 
 
Hartford will travel back to Rhode Island to take on URI on Dec. 7, before welcoming in-state foe Central Connecticut to Chase Arena on Dec. 18. The Hawks make the trip to New York to match up with former conference opponent Binghamton on Dec. 20, prior to going toe-to-toe with UMBC on Dec. 22. 
 
The Hawks hit the road to end December, traveling to Pennsylvania to take on St. Francis on Dec. 30. To start the new year, Hartford will continue its tour of Pennsylvania, matching up with LaSalle on Jan. 2. Three days later, the Hawks make the trip north to take on Northern Vermont on Jan. 5, before heading back to the Delaware Valley to face off against Penn and Princeton on Jan. 10-12. Hartford will return to New England to conclude its season-long road-trip, matching up with Merrimack on Jan. 21 and Bryant Jan. 24. 
 
The Hawks return to West Hartford to host Chicago State in a pair of home contests. Matching up with the Cougars on back-to-back afternoons in Chase Arena at Reich Family Pavilion on Jan. 28-29.
 
After a 10-day hiatus, Hartford returns to action on Feb. 8 when it travels to neighboring New Britain to take on local rival Central Connecticut. Following the contest against the Blue Devils, the Hawks return home for two final home games against Villa Maria on Feb. 12 and Merrimack Feb. 16. 
 
To round out the season Hartford will travel to Illinois for its final two games of the campaign Feb. 25-26 against Chicago State
 
In a 2021-22 campaign where Hartford posted a 4-26 overall record, the Hawks have added 10 newcomers to the team in addition to four returners.
