PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Junior guard
Briggs McClain scored a game-high 18 points for Hartford as the Hawks fell to Colgate, 92-58, on the final day of the Cathedral Classic from The Palestra in Philadelphia, Pa. The loss puts the Hawks' record at 3-6 on the year, while the Raiders improve to 5-4.

The two teams traded baskets early in the contest with Hartford gaining its first advantage three minutes in on a second-chance layup by
Pano Pavlidis. However, the Raiders would open up a lead of their own after that make with an 8-3 run. The Hawks got back-to-back three-pointers from graduate student
Matt Hobbs and McClain to even the score at 15 before Colgate would break it open.
The Raiders shot an impressive 64.3 percent from the field in the first half to build a 46-30 lead going into the break. Much of the damage was done underneath the basket as Colgate held a 21-9 rebounding advantage with 22 points in the paint and 11 points of second-chance opportunities.
Sophomore
Kurtis Henderson led Hartford in the second half with seven points, but the deficit proved to big for the Hawks to overcome. Hartford was stronger on the boards in the second half grabbing 16 to Colgate's 18, but the battle in the paint continued to be an issue. The Raiders outscored the Hawks 24-14 underneath in the second stanza as they came away with the 92-58 victory.

- Graduate student Pano Pavlidis led the way on the boards for the Hawks with eight rebounds
- Jared Kimbrough caused trouble for opposing shooters with a game-high three blocks
- Braden Smith was the leading scorer for Colgate with 17
- Smith was also perfect from the floor going 7-for-7, including 3-for-3 from downtown
