HARTFORD 74, FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON 66
The three-ball was working early on for the Hawks as their first four baskets to fall came from beyond-the-arc. The last three in that run came from sophomore Kurtis Henderson, who completed the four-point play to give Hartford an early 14-9 lead. The first half was extremely tightly contested with nine lead changes and five ties.

The Hawks were able create some distance with an 13-2 run over a four-minutes stretch late in the first period before the Knights would make the final two scores of the session sending the teams into the locker room with Hartford up 37-33.

While Hartford was hitting its deep chances, Fairleigh Dickinson lived in the paint in the first half. The Knights held an 18-8 edge in the paint.

The Hawks stayed hot in the second half making four of their first five field goal attempts after the break, extending their lead to 10 (47-37). The Knights would close the gap to three with just under four minutes remaining, but the Hawks were able outlast the visitors, finishing the game with a 10-5 run.
