HANNOVER, N.H. – The Hartford volleyball team dropped both matches of a doubleheader at the Dartmouth Invitational. Junior outside hitter
Uzezi Ijoma was named to the 2022 Dartmouth Invitational All-Tournament Team.
SIENA 3, HARTFORD 0 (11-25, 16-25, 23-25)
SET ONE: Ijoma notched three kills and a service ace. Freshman setter
Kylee Connally produced four digs and three assists. Senior outside hitter
Greta De Gasper added three digs and two kills.
SET TWO: Connally started the set with back-to-back service aces. Senior setter
Lika Nkenchor strung together five assists while adding two digs. De Gasper added four kills and three more digs to her total.
SET THREE: Hartford held the lead for most of this set, including a 19-16 lead late. Siena came from behind to win the match. Nkenchor assisted teammates eight times. Ijoma notched six kills
NOTES & HIGHLIGHTS: Five different Hawks served aces. Nkenchor finished with 13 assists. Ijoma totaled 11 kills. De Gasper notched nine kills and nine digs.
DARTMOUTH 3, HARTFORD 0 (17-25, 9-25, 14-25)
SET ONE: Nkenchor started off the match strong with seven assists. Freshman outside hitter
Lindzi Thomas notched four kills and one dig. De Gasper added two kills, two digs, and a service ace.
SET TWO: Thomas added three kills. Nkenchor produced six assists and notched two kills.
SET THREE: Nkenchor notched four assists and two unassisted kills.
Lindzi Thomas finished the set with three kills. Ijoma and De Gasper added two kills each.
NOTES & HIGHLIGHTS: Lindzi Thomas produced career and season highs with 10 kills and 10 points. Nkenchor finished the day with 15 assists and five digs. Junior outside hitter
Kionah Thomas and De Gasper produced service aces.
