SOUTH KENT, Conn. — Senior
Manuel Romero paced the Hawks at the Hartford Hawks Invitational, finishing in 11th place at the team's home event. Held at the picturesque Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Conn. the Hawks finished in a tie for 10th among the 16-team field.

TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS & NOTES
- Romero combined for a 3-under 213 across the three rounds
- He posted three straight rounds of a one-under 71 to pace the Hawks
- Conor Byrne had a solid weekend, finishing with an even 216 to tie for 16th
- Byrne also posted the best single round score for the Hawks, shooting a three-under 69 during the second round
- Danny Frodigh rounded out the top-three Hartford finishers, posting a two-over 218 to finish in a tie for 32nd
- Kyle St. Pierre, who played as an individual, had a stellar weekend, tying for 16th after shooting an even 216
- UCF took home the team title after finishing with a combined team score of 35-under (829)
- The tournament's top finisher came from the Knights, as Luis Carrera finished with a 16-under 200 across the three rounds

The Hawks return to action on Saturday, Sept. 24, with The MacDonald Cup hosted by Yale. Held at The Course at Yale in New Haven, Conn., the event stretches over two days.
