Box Score EASTON, Mass. – The University of Hartford men's basketball team got off to a slow start, and never recovered in falling to Division I Stonehill Sunday, 71-44, at Merkert Gymnasium.
The Skyhawks scored the first 12 points of the game and maintained the double-digit lead for the entirety of the rest of the game. Stonehill started the second half by scoring 17 of the first 19 points to open the game up.
Facing a zone for nearly the entire 40 minutes, the Stonehill length proved to be difficult to solve.
For the second time this season, freshman Josh Petion led the team in scoring. He finished with 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting and a team-high six rebounds. Graduate student

- It's the first time the Hawks have been outrebounded by double figures this season and only the second time they have been outrebounded.
- With freshmen Brayden Steve and Zach Skinner making their first career starts, Hartford played five different starting lineups in nine games.
- Senior Beluolisah Oranye returned to action after missing the last four games.
- Freshman Ezekiel Johnson played the most minutes since the 13 minutes in the season opener. Freshman Billy Donovan appeared in his first game of the season.
