Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Dunne records career-high 24

Michael Dunne scored a career-high 24 points on just 14 shots, but the Hartford men's basketball team lost a tough one to Central Connecticut State Wednesday, 82-73, inside the Chase Family Arena at the Reich Family Pavilion.

Dunne shot 7-of-14, all three-pointers, from the floor with a team-high six rebounds and three assists. The seven made three-pointers and 14 attempted three-pointers were the most by any player this season.

The game was an exercise in sharing the ball as the Hawks assisted on 76.9 percent (20-of-26) of their made baskets. It was the fourth time this season, Hartford had at least 20 assists.

Following a Dunne three-pointer with 13:50 remaining that gave Hartford a four-point lead, CCSU responded with the game-changing 21-5 run – including a stretch in which the Blue Devils scored 15 straight – to claim its first double-figure lead of the game.

Kurtis Henderson came off the bench for 17 points, two off his career-high, on 6-of-12 shooting and a team-high tying five assists.
