The University of Hartford volleyball team fell in straight sets to Trinity, 25-19, 25-16, 25-22, Tuesday in non-conference action inside the Chase Family Arena.
Freshman
Zahara Quraishi turned in her best performance of the season, finishing with a career-high 18 kills. Her .351 hitting percentage was also a career-high. She just missed the third double-double of the season, finishing with nine digs.
Quraishi wasn't the only Hartford player to have a career game as freshman
Jordan Murphy tallied 10 kills. Murphy and Quraishi combined for 28 of the team's 35 kills.
The setter combination of freshman
Liahnna Orange and sophomore Kylie Connally distributed 32 assists. Orange dished out a career-high 18 assists, while Connally had 14.
INSIDE STATS & NOTES
- Quraishi now has double-figure kills in four of the team's five games.
- Freshman Jenna Murphy had the team's lone block.

Hartford (1-4) plays its first Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent as the Hawks host Endicott 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 23. It would be a Red Alert event in which fans are encouraged to wear red to the game.
