Volleyball drops straight-set match

The University of Hartford volleyball team fell in straight sets, 25-17, 26-24, 25-19, to Endicott – the reigning Commonwealth Coast Conference champions – Saturday inside the Chase Family Arena.

Hartford had early leads in all three sets, but ultimately, couldn't manage to hold off extended scoring runs from the Gulls.

Sophomore Isabel Labrada led the team with 11 kills on 34 attempts with four errors, while freshman Zahara Quraishi added nine kills on 19 attempts and two errors.

Sophomore Kylee Connally spent most of the time as the setter and finished with a season-high 21 assists. It was the first time this season she dished out at least 20 assists.
