Six different players found the back of the net as the University of Hartford women's soccer team continued their offensive explosion against Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponents, beating Suffolk 7-1 Saturday at Al-Marzook Field.
Freshman
Kathleen Brush was the only Hawk to score multiple goals, scoring two with one assist.
The duo of senior
Christina Stone and Brush combined to put the first two goals on the board. Stone headed home a corner kick from Brush in the 16th minute and then Brush headed home a free kick from Stone in the 26th minute.
Stone continued to play a part in the Hartford offense as her corner kick in the 29th minute found the head of sophomore
Lindsey Metcalfe, who placed the ball into the back of the net.
The scoring continued as sophomore
Rebecca Opdenbrouw put the fourth second-half goal on the board in the 42nd minute.
Brush scored her second goal of the in the 58th minute. Graduate
Leah Barbieri scored in the 69th minute, and senior
May Cervone capped the scoring in the 76th minute.

- The Hawks are ranked fifth in Region II in the United Soccer Coach poll.
- Senior Imani Jenkins recorded a pair of assists to push per point streak to five straight games. She has recorded a point in all but one game this season.
