DUDLEY, Mass. - The Hartford women's soccer team extended its winning-streak to four games on Tuesday picking up a dominant 8-0 victory over Nichols College.

- Graduate student Imani Jenkins (Middletown, Conn.) started the scoring off in the 7th minute, tapping in a rebound to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. In the 10th minute the lead hit 2-0 as freshman Angela Chávez found junior Rebecca Opdenbrouw (Vernon, Conn.) who scored her second goal of the season. Falyn Hunt had the Bison's first chance of the game in the 17th minute, but junior Sejal Johnson (Weddington, N.C.) made the easy save. Jenkins picked up her second goal of the afternoon in the 33rd minute to push the lead to 3-0 as the teams headed into halftime.
- The Bison tried to cut into the deficit in the 47th minute, but Johnson stopped the shot from Alana Snow. Hartford notched the fourth goal of the game in the 58th minute as reigning Conference of New England (CNE) player of the week sophomore Kathleen Brush (Wethersfield, Conn.) scored on an assist from graduate student May Cervone (Milford, Conn.). In the 61st minute the Hawks continued to score as graduate student Christina Stone (Glastonbury, Conn.) scored on an assist by Jenkins. Just three minutes later Jenkins picked up her hat-trick on a second assist by Cervone. In the 66th minute Jenkins did it again scoring from Stone as the score reached 7-0. Opdenbrouw netted the final goal of the game on a find by sophomore Reese Sadler (Newington, Conn.) as the Hawks flew to the 8-0 win.
Inside the Numbers:
- Jenkins registered a four-goal game for the second time in her career to go with an assist. Imani currently leads the CNE in goals with 16 on the season in 12 games played.
- Opdenbrouw registered two scores of her own, while Brush, and Stone added the other goals.
- Cervone led the passing effort with a pair of assists, while Stone added her CNE leading 11th assist in the win.
- Johnson made three saves for the Hawks in her third-straight shutout win.
- Hartford out shot Nichols College by a 45-9 advantage with a 22-3 on target differential.
- The Hawks have now outscored opponents 19-0 over the last three games.
