MILTON, NY The Hartford Women's Cross Country team ran a 6k this morning during the ECAC Championship Tournament. The Hawks were able to capture second place out of nine teams.
Rapid Recap:
- The Hawks got things going this early as graduate student Jacqueline Lage (Hebron, Conn.)Â finished with the fastest time for the Hawks coming in 8th place overall with a time of 26:51.2.Â
- Hartford's Next fastest runner was sophomore Annie Gilman (Lowell,MA)Â Â finished with a time of 27:03.8 and finished 11th in the competition.Â
- Rounding things out for the Hawks was freshman Ella Stephenson (Ledyard, Conn.) who finished with a time of 27:29.4 and finished 11th overall.
Inside The Numbers:
- Hartford's top five runners finished with an average time of 27:33.
- The Hawks finished with 54 points as a team.

"Today our team showed up and did what we were supposed to do, we all went out and raced our best ona course that was difficult. We were all really happy to repeat last years result despite the loss of a couple of our top runners." said Gilman.
