NEW LONDON, Conn.-The University of Hartford baseball team dropped their third game in a row to Mitchell College, 15-6, Thursday afternoon at Alumni Field.
The Hawks held a 2-0 lead against Mitchell until the fourth inning, when Mitchell surged with an 8-3 run, propelling them to a 9-2 lead
Freshman Jackson Ciccone kickstarted the first inning with a double. Two batters later, senior Jake Santiago hit a ground ball to third. Ciccone advanced to third on an error by the pitcher, which resulted from a failed pickoff attempt, allowing him to score on an unearned run.
After freshman Josh Kapan singles to first, freshman Tyler Shannon drives Kaplan home with an unearned RBI. The Hawks scored their second run in the fifth inning after the pitcher hit Joe Guglielmi and walked Shannon to second base. Freshman James Hinspeter drove Guglielmi to second and Shannon home for an RBI.
Hartford's best inning came in the seventh, highlighted by Santiago's exceptional performance. Santiago recorded three RBIs, sending Shannon, Ciccone, and Hinspeter home.
Four different pitchers pitched for Hartford, AJ Formato pitching the most innings with three recording five hits, three runs, and two strikeouts.

- Peter Morrissey pitched for two innings, allowing only one run, hit, and recording five total strikeouts.
- Both Santiago and Mangiameli contributed with two RBIs each.
- Hinspeter is on a three-game hitting streak, while Santiago boasts an impressive eight-game hitting streak.
