Lenaijah Ferguson and freshman
Madison Olmstead combined for eight goals as the University of Hartford defeated the University of New England Saturday, 14-10, at Blue Bolt Field.
Olmstead finished with seven points, scoring four goals with three assists, while Ferguson added four goals for the Hawks.
Hartford dominated the first and third periods, outscored the Nor'easters 11-2 combined in those periods. The Hawks scored five goals in the first period and six more in the third period.
In the final five minutes of the first period, Hartford seized control with four goals to close the opening 15 minutes. Three different players found the back of the next in the last five minutes. UNE pulled to within one goal with four consecutive second-period goals.
The third period, in which Hartford outscored the Nor'easters 6-1, set the second-half tone and enabled the Hawks to secure the victory.

Hanna Ramsey finished with 11 saves in the victory.
