MLAX Falls On Road to #18 Endicott

BEVERLY, Mass. - Senior Justin Pezzolesi and freshman Ethan Hunt each notched a pair of goals as the University of Hartford men's lacrosse team fell to nationally-ranked Endicott College,19-6.  at Hempstead Stadium.  

Pezzolesi scored a goal in the second and third periods, while Hunt scored in the first and second  periods. 

Endicott raced out to a 3-0 lead, and never trailed. The Hawks were able to close the gap 6-3 at the half. However, the Gulls took control in the third period outscoring the Hawks 8-3, to ultimately end the game 19-6 in the final minutes. 

INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES

  • Hartford finished with 27 shots, 17 of which were on goal, while Endicott  had 63  shots with 39  on goal.

  • Hartford finished with two assists on six goals, while Endicott had 11 assists on 19 goals. 

  • Hunt registered his team-high ninth assist.

  • Junior Nicholas Didomizio registered his first assist of the season. 

  • Freshman Nicholas Forgione tallied his 15th goal of the season. 

  • Freshman Aidan Ezra tallied his 14th goal of the season. 

  • The Hawks were 19-of-27 in clear attempts, while the Gulls were 24-of-27 in clear attempts.

  • Faceoff specialists Ben Costanzo and Cameron Jamescombined to win 11-of-26 faceoffs.

  • Freshman Christopher Ledwick registered 18 saves.

  • Sophomore Cole Zering made his first appearance between the pipes registering two saves. 

NEXT ON TAP 

Hartford (3-5 overall 1-2 CCC) will return to Al-Mazook 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to host the Wentworth Institute of Technology.
