Smith Tallies Three Goals in Loss

BEVERLY, Mass. – Junior Meghan Smith was responsible for 75 percent of the Hartford scoring as the women's lacrosse team had their four-game winning streak come to an end Saturday with the 20-4 loss to Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Endicott.

The first of Smith's trio of goals came five minutes into the game, pulling the Hawks to within one goal, 3-2. It was the Gulls that took over from there with 17 consecutive goals as Hartford was held scoreless for the second and third periods.

Smith wrapped up the scoring with a pair of goals in the fourth period. Freshman Laurel McIntosh scored Hartford's only other goal.
