ALBANY, N.Y. - The University of Hartford men's soccer team picked up their fourth win on the season defeating Russell Sage College by a 1-0 final.

- The teams battled back and forth with early shots by both teams off target in the early going. The Hawks had a good chance in the 32nd minute as freshman Kyle Theobald (Sandyston, N.J.) missed just high. Neither team recorded a shot on target in the first half as the teams went into the break tied without a score.
- The Gators had a chance in the 48th minute but John Lewis Whalen put the header wide. Theobald had the first shot on target in the contest, but Maximilian Bertmann made the save. In the 75th minute Bertmann and Christian Beres both received yellow cards earning the Hawks a penalty opportunity. Graduate student Alex Quinones (Bedford, N.H.) buried it for his third goal of the year and to put Hartford in front. Russell Sage had their lone chance on target in the 81st minute as El Hadji Iba took a shot saved by sophomore Ryan Lunn (Southington, Conn.). John Lewis Whalen had one final header chance but it went wide again as the Hawks pulled off the win.

- Lunn was awarded his second shutout of the season with a single save to improve his record to 3-0-1 on the young season.
- Quinones registered his third goal on the season including his second game-winner of the year.
- The teams combined for 31 fouls in the game with eight yellow cards in the game.
- The Gators out shot the Hawks 13-9 in the game with Hartford owning a 2-1 on target differential.
