WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Hartford women's soccer had a bounce back game on Wednesday evening flying to a 6-0 victory over cross-town opponent University of Saint Joseph (Conn.).

- The Hawks dominated the early possession getting three quick shots on target within the first 10 minutes, but Madison Corcoran made three saves to keep the game even. Graduate student Imani Jenkins (Middletown, Conn.) opened the scoring in the 28th minute on a beautiful find from graduate student May Cervone (Milford, Conn.). A second goal came quickly after as sophomore Kathleen Brush (Wethersfield, Conn.) dished off a pass to junior Cameryn Wilkinson (Wethersfield, Conn.) who scored in the 30th minute. Hartford continued to soar getting a third goal in the 42nd minute as Brush got one into the net from a beautiful assist from graduate student Christina Stone (Glastonbury, Conn.). In the final seconds of the first half the Hawks pushed the lead to 4-0 as Brush lifted a beautiful corner which found the head of junior Mayson Massaro (Sarasota, Fla.) who found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal.
- The second half started with four more saves for Corcoran, but finally in the 63rd minute Jenkins struck again getting her second of the game and seventh of the year. In the 70th minute the sixth goal hit the net as Brush found Egan for her first collegiate goal. Jenna Zup had a pair of chances for the Blue Jays late, but freshman Aislyn Rivera (Morristown, N.J.) made a pair of saves to keep the clean sheet and the 6-0 win.

"I think our energy was up compared to last game", said sophomore
Kathleen Brush (Wethersfield, Conn.). "Coming off a loss we just knew we needed to win, everyone's confidence was a little low so we just wanted to combine as a team was very important tonight."
Inside the Numbers:
- Brush registered a career-high three assists to go with her first goal of the season in the win. Jenkins netted two more goals tying the program-record in goals with 60 in her career.
- Wilkinson, Massaro and Egan all picked up their first goal of 2024 in the win.
- Cervone and Stone each added their third assist of the season.
- Junior Mira Mahmoud (Storrs, Conn.) picked up her first win of the 2024 campaign making one stop in 67 minutes. Rivera checked in for her first collegiate game making two saves in the remaining 23 minutes.
- The Hawks out shot the Blue Jays by a 24-3 margin and a 14-3 on target differential.
