WILLIAMSPORT, PENN The Hawks made the trek down to the Keystone state to compete against 19 other colleges and universities in the Northeast Elite Invitational. The Hawks, coming off a 2nd place finish a week ago, struggled through the first and second round this weekend. As they would place T15 through both days with an overall team score of 603.


Round One Recap:
The Hawks teed things off Saturday, and did not get off to the start they were hoping for as they would finish day one of two in 19th place with a team score of 326 (+27). Freshman Nathan Tallinder (Madison, NJ) lead the Hawks through round one with an individual score of 76 (+5), followed by seniors Jack Ritchie-Roux (Capetown, South Africa) and Kyle St. Pierre (Shelton, Conn.) with a 75 (+6) and 77 (+6). 

Round Two Recap :
Hartford was able to jump up four placements following round two as they would finish the tournament tied for 15th place along with Mount Aloysius College. Tallinder again finished the day on top for the Hawks with a round two score of 71 (E). St Pierre again followed behind with a round two score of 74 (+3), and senior John Guererra (Farmington, Conn.) finished in third for Hartford with a 81 (+10).

Inside the Numbers:

• 4 Hartford players finished with 5 birdies (Tallinder, Ritchie-Roux, Guerrera, and Archibald).
• Tallinder finished with 23 pars through both rounds.
• Hartford jumped four spots from round 1 to round 2.

The Hawks next trip will be to Brewster, Mass. as they participate in the New England Intercollegiate Championship at the Captain's Course.
