Hawks Golf Gearing Up for Spring Schedule

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – On Wednesday, Head Golf Coach Pete Stankevich announced the 2024-25 spring schedules for the men's and women's golf teams.

The men's team will kick off the spring season on March 5th at the Spring Break Invitational hosted by Sacred Heart University at Eagle Harbor Golf Club in Fleming Island, Florida.

"Our men's schedule has a great variety of events in both the locations of tournaments, the type of golf courses, and the level of competition", said Stankevich. "We're looking forward to starting the spring with where we began last year, at the Sacred Heart Spring Break Invitational in the Jacksonville, Florida area. We follow that up with The Ruckus at Williamsburg National in Virginia to wrap up our spring break week. In early April, we're excited to be co-hosting the Trinity/Hartford Invitational at Tumble Brook with a large field of teams. The men wrap up the spring schedule with back-to-back events on Long Island on two great golf courses. The LIU Shark Invitational at Brookville has been a favorite event of our team over the years and we finish the season at Bethpage Red for the Farmingdale State Invitational."

The women's team will kick off play at the Ruckus in Williamsburg, Va. joined by the men;s team. The Hawks will also host two events in the spring semester on April 5th - 6th in the Trinity / Hartford Invitational and on April 26th - 27th at the Hartford Spring Women's Invitational.

"The women's team is looking forward to starting the season at The Ruckus in Williamsburg, Virginia against a strong field of teams", said Stankevich. "This is a new event for our team and a great way to get started this spring. We're hosting two events this spring; a co-host event with Trinity College in early April and wrapping up the spring with our Hartford Hawks Spring Invitational at Keney Park. In between our home events, the team will compete in the Jack Leaman Invitational, hosted by Amherst at The Orchards in South Hadley, Massachusetts. This golf course hosted the 2004 US Women's Open and is another great golf course we'll have the opportunity to compete on this year. We look forward to another new event on our schedule, the Panther Battle at the Bay hosted by Adelphi which will bring the women's team to Long Island as well."
