WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Hartford men's soccer team held host to their cross-town opponent, Trinity College, and walked away victorious by the score of 1-0. This is the Hawks' third straight victory as they move to 6-5-1 on the season.

The Bantams came out firing in the first half of this one, outshooting the Hawks by the tally of 7-2. Hartford's defense would hold true, however, as senior goalkeeper Ryan Lunn (Southington, Conn.) saved three out of the 7 shots on goal, allowing none to reach the nylon. As for the Hawks' offensive attack, junior midfielder Austin Murawski (Rocky Hill, Conn.) took the two lone shots for Hartford, but was unable to net either. Both teams ended the half in a stalemate at 0-0.

After the break, the Hawks came out swinging and would break the tie in the 68th minute with a goal off a penalty kick by Murawski. Trinity would not go quietly however, as they would pile on shots and comfortably outshoot the Hawks 7-3. Senior midfield Nick Castrovinci (Roxbury, N.J.) was the only other member of Hartford to pick up a shot on the day. Lunn would hold the Bantams scoreless for the rest of the game and posted a clean sheet.

"I knew I needed to bury that penalty, after missing two important chances in the first half... Someone had to step up for our team, and lukcily I converted it. This is our third win in a row... so we kind of need to keep carrying the momentum, hopefully we win the next five games, and put us in the conference tournament." Murawski said postgame.
