BIDDEFORD, Maine - The Hartford men's soccer team picked up their second-straight contest on Wednesday defeating the University of New England by a 3-2 final on Wednesday night.
Rapid Recap:
- The Nor'easters had an early opportunity in the 6th minute forcing an early save by senior Ryan Lunn (Southington, Conn.). In the 15th minute the home team almost found the opener but again Lunn made a comfortable save. The Hawks had the first chance of the night in the 25th minute as sophomore Jared Noble (Nesconset, N.Y.) took a shot saved by Sean MacDonald. After the play calmed down, Hartford would take the lead as Noble found the foot of sophomore Kyle Theobald (Sandyston, N.J.) who powered it past the keeper for the lead. The Nor'easters would even the score late on a corner as Corbin Schreindorfer scored on an assist by Ethan Berry.
- In the second half both teams had early chances but both keepers would make the save as the teams stayed even in the 65th minute. The home team would jump back in front in the 71st minute as Berry would score from Conor Lynch. Junior Austin Murawski (Rocky Hill, Conn.) turned the game around scoring the equalizer on an assist by Noble in the 81st minute. The Hawks would get the winner in the 87th minute as senior Jack Merrill (Newton, N.J.) would cross a ball to find Murawski who powered it past the diving keeper for the win.

Inside the Numbers:
- Murawski now leads the team in goals scoring his second and third in the win for Hartford. Theobald added his first collegiate goal in the win.
- Noble added two more assists to his stats as he leads the team with four on the season.
- Lunn picked up his third win of the season making four saves.
- The Hawks out shot the Nor'easters 19-12 with a 8-6 on target differential.
