CANTON, N.Y. - The Hartford women's cross country team competed in the NCAA Mideast Regionals this Saturday hosted by St. Lawrence University. The Hawks took 19th place out of 25 other teams in the 6k event, this was the first NCAA appearance for the Hawks.
Rapid Recap:
- Junior Sophia Rebenciuc (Southwick, Mass.) lead the Hawks strong as she has all season earning 90th place crossing the finish line at 24:53.4.
- Junior Annie Gilman (Lowell, Mass.) followed close behind taking 108th place with a time of 25:36.2.
- Sophomore Ella Stephenson (Ledyard, Conn.) finished in 112th place earning an impressive time of 25:44.
- Freshman Maya Siegelman (Suffern, N.Y.) maintained her consistency with her performance this Saturday taking 130th place with a time of 26:32.2.
- Senior Chloe Coale (Martnsburg, W.Va.) finished in 144th place with a final time of 27:10.5.
Inside the Numbers:
- The Hawks finished with a total of 569 points, the Hawks were the top performers from the teams representing the Conference of New England (CNE).
- Williams College secured first place as a team overall with their top performers earning third, seventh, eighth, and tenth. Kate Tuttle crossed the finish line at 21:34.3
- The top women's finisher was Audrey Maclean who claimed an impressive time of 21:21.6 to lead the competition.

"On an even muddier course thanks to the guys race prior the ladies really showed a ton of heart," said Head Coach
Connor Green. " Pushing themselves and moving up well throughout the race they really challenge themselves and came through with some really great performances. We beat all of our conference rivals in the race which really helps solidify how solid of a day it was. It was a great way to end the season."
