NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – On Tuesday, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its IWLCA Players of the Week Ending March 11th with senior
Meghan Smith (Orange, Conn.) being recognized as the Division III Offensive Player of the Week.
Smith had a standout week, contributing 14 points, five ground balls, and 14 draw controls across two victories for the Hawks. On Wednesday, she registered three goals and two assists in a win over FDU-Florham. Smith then followed up with a stellar performance, recording seven goals and two assists in an 18-16 victory over Smith College. Smith has also been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Offensive Player of the Week for back-to-back weeks.
This season Meghan so far has totaled 30 points (21 goals, 9 assists) through four games, while also contributing 25 draws and 12 ground balls.
The Hawks women's lacrosse team will host Keene State College on Wednesday at 5:00 PM before traveling to Georgia for two games early next week.
