BLOOMFIELD, CONN. The Men's Golf team co-hosted the Trinity/Hartford invitational at Tumble Brook country club, this past weekend where they tied for tenth place, with an overall team score of 626 (+50) through the two rounds.
Rapid Recap:
- Groups tee'd off at 9AM Saturday morning, and despite the rain all groups were able to finish their round Saturday, the Hawks finished the first round with a team score of 313. On Sunday the rain eased off throughout the day and Hartford finished the round scoring another 313 team score.
- Senior Jack Ritchie-Roux (Capetown, South Africa) finished with the best overall score, placing T14 with an overall score of 152 (+8) with a round one score of 78 and a 74 in round two. Senior Kyle St. Pierre (Shelton, Conn.) placed T32 with a 76 in the first round and a 80 in the second round, with an overall score of 156 (+12). Freshman Nathan Tallinder (Madison, N.J.) finished with T36 with a 78 in the first round and a 79 in the second round, with a 157 (+13) overall score. Senior John Guerrera (Farmington, Conn.) placed T56 shooting a 81 in the first round and a 80 in the second with an overall score of 161 (+17). Freshman Ethan Archibald (Heath, Texas) finished T69 with a 83 in the first round, 81 in the second and an overall score of 164 (+20).
Inside the Numbers:
- Ritchie-Roux finished with six birdies in both rounds, junior Nathan Daley (Sharon, Mass.) finished with three birdies, St. Pierre finished with three, Archibald, Tallinder, and Guerrera all finished with a pair.
- Hartford finished with the sixth most pars between both rounds.

The Hawks will compete again in the following weekend in South Hadley, MA at the Jack Leaman Invitational, hosted by Amherst College on Apr. 12-13.
