Sheehy Headlines Eight Hawks Named to CNE All-Conference Teams

BEVERLY, Mass. On Wednesday, the Conference of New England announced its baseball major award winners and all-conference teams with eight Hawks featured. 

Freshman Ryan Sheehy (Shelton, Conn.) headlined the list being named the CNE Rookie of the Year, as well as making the First Team All-Conference as a starting pitcher. Sophomore JJ Romatzick (Stratford, Conn.) was the other Hawk tabbed to the First Team All-Conference. Graduate student Jake Santiago (Bristol, Conn.), junior Michael Featherstone (Ramsey, N.J.), and junior Patrick Joseph (Pomona, N.Y.) were each named to the Second Team All-Conference. Sophomore Tyler Shannon (Madison, N.J.), junior Jackson Ciccone (Danbury, Conn.) and junior Jeremy Mangiameli (Middlefield, Conn.) all were placed on the Third Team All-Conference. Featherstone rounded out the group being named to the CNE Community Service Team.

Sheehy finished his freshman campaign at a record of 6-2 with a save in 14 appearances and 11 starts. Ryan ended the year with a 3.88 ERA in 62.2 innings pitched, finishing second in the conference in strikeouts with 78. Sheehy held opposing hitters to a .196 batting average in 2025 en route to earning the major award and first team honors. 

Romatzick had a great comeback season for the Hawks starting all 40 games slashing .382/.441/.482 (AVG/OBP/SLG) with 34 runs scored, 10 doubles, two triples and a homer. JJ ranked 10th in the conference in RBIs with 36 on the season and broke the Hartford program-record for longest hitting streak getting a knock in 26-straight games. 

Santiago finished the year with 41 starts for Hartford in his final year slashing .411/.470/.650 (AVG/OBP/SLG) while also hitting .493 in conference play. Jake ended the year with nine homers, 12 doubles, 32 runs scored and 35 RBIs for the Hawks with 10 stolen bases. 

Featherstone finished his junior season with 16 appearances out of the bullpen with a 2-3 record and three saves. Michael ended the year with 26.2 innings pitched with a ERA of 5.06 and 24 strikeouts. 

Joseph was named the second team all-conference for the utility position, serving time at second base and third base for the 2025 season. Patrick ended the year with a .350/.436/.450 (AVG/OBP/SLG) slash line with two homers, 15 RBIs, 18 runs scored and two doubles. 

Shannon finished as the first of three Third Team All-Conference selections after starting 27 games for the Hawks at first base in 2025. Tyler finished the year hitting .343 with 20 ribbys, 19 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples and a long ball. 

Ciccone also was a third team selection starting 41 games for the Hawks as the main stay center fielder. Jackson ended the year hitting .335 tying a team-high with 36 RBIs on the season to go with five homers, 11 doubles and 31 runs scored. 

Mangiameli was the last member of the All-Conference  team hitting .356 in 32 starts in 2025. Jeremey ended the year with two homers, 28 runs scored, 17 RBIs and 10 doubles.
