MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Hawks traveled north to the Green Mountain State to play in the Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College. Hartford would place 7th out of twenty teams, after the two rounds on Saturday and Sunday.

Rapid Recap:

• Freshman Zack MacMillan (Toronto, Ontario) led the Hawks in scoring, placing tied for 2nd with a 72 (+1) in both rounds.
• Freshman Griffin La Londe (Montclair, N.J.) was next in the scoring for Hartford shooting a 80 on Saturday and 73 on Sunday for a score of +11, placing T32.
• Scoring next for the Hawks was freshman Tim Kaley (Dalton, Mass.) who placed T46 with a 75 (+4) on Saturday and a 80 (+9) on Sunday +13 overall.
• Freshman Manolo Vargas (Medelin, Columbia) would be the next in the scoring column for the Hawks placing T61 with a 79 (+8) on Saturday and a 78 (+7) on Sunday.
• Rounding out the scoring for the Hawks, freshman Shawn Amari (Townsend, Mass.), shot a 78 (+7) in round one, and an 80 (+9) in round two.

Inside the Numbers:

• The Hawks finished with 20 birdies across both rounds.
• La Londe jumped up 35 spots between round one and two.
• Amherst College finished in first place out of all teams, 
• Jack Berry from Babson would place first among individuals shooting -4.

The Hawks will travel to Williamstown, Mass. to play in the Williams College Invitational next weekend in what will be a two round tournament starting on Saturday, Sep. 20th.
