BEVERLY, Mass. - The Hartford men's soccer team moved to 1-2 in Conference of New England (CNE) play falling to Endicott College 3-1.
Rapid Recap:
- The Gulls had the first chance in the 9th minute as Conor Rooney had a shot saved, but Rooney would follow it scoring to give the home team the lead. Rooney would get another chance in the 11th minute with senior Ryan Lunn (Southington, Conn.) making the stop. Sophomore David Czubat (Rocky Hill, Conn.) had the first shot for the Hawks going high. Both teams would not have another chance as the Gulls led 1-0.
- Sophomore Jared Noble (Nesconset, N.Y.) and junior Austin Murawski (Rocky Hill, Conn.) each had chances to start the second half with both missing the frame. In the 64th Murawski would tie up the game with a score on a feed from Noble. Endicott would respond in the 76th minute as Aidan Sheehan scored. Murawski and senior Jack Merrill (Newton, N.J.) would each try to respond, but again they could not hit the target. The Gulls would finish with an insurance goal by Tyler Walser on an assist by Liam Stapleton. Lunn would make one final save, but Hartford would fall by the 3-1 final.
Inside the Numbers:
- Murawski netted his first goal of 2025 in the loss, while Noble had his first assist of the year.
- Lunn made three saves in the loss as his record on the year sits at 2-2-1.
- The Gulls had a 9-7 shots advantage with a 6-1 on target differential. Hartford had a 4-1 corners advantage, but also had 10 fouls to six for the home team.
