Dudley, Mass.- Hartford Hawks Men's Soccer would travel to Nichols College to take on the Bison who are sitting at the top of Conference of New England Standings. The Hawks would walk into the Bisons building and come away with a gritty 1-0 victory.
Rapid Recap
- Nichols would come out quick taking a shot in the first 30 seconds, but they were stuffed by junior goalkeeper Christain Vitti (Stamford, Conn.). After the lone Bison attempt, it was all Hawks, as Hartford took control taking the next six shots, with five of them being on target. The sixth Hawk shot came in the 23rd minute as junior Jaiden Daigle (Rocky Hill, Conn.) would play a long ball down the sideline to junior Jared Noble (Nesconset, N.Y.) who would beat his defender and slip his shot inside the far post to put his Hawks in front. Things would go silent until the final two minutes of the half when each team would exchange a shot on goal where each team's keeper would make a save. Hartford would lead 1-0 at the break.
- Similarly to the end of the first half, each team would trade an attempt on goal to open the second half with both goalies standing strong again; Bison tender Anthony Grguric made his sixth save and Vitti notched his third. The Hawks would keep the pressure up, taking three more shots in a 10-minute span, Grguric made another save and the other to attempts would miss the target. Nichols would steal back the momentum, as they would take seven shots between the 74th minute to the 85th minute, with Vitti coming up clutch and saving all three of the shots that went on target. With Hartford taking back possession, they would bleed out the rest of the clock and take all three points to come away with a huge 1-0 win.
