WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Hartford women's soccer team picked up their seventh consecutive win on Saturday afternoon defeating Wentworth Insititute of Technology by a 2-0 final. Before the game the Hawks would celebrate their four seniors, Kathleen Brush (Wethersfield, Conn.), Morgan Egan (East Granby, Conn.), Reese Sadler (Newington, Conn.) and Mia Mangalji (Toronto, Ontario).

- The Hawks were dominant in possession from the jump with junior Angela Chávez (Glastonbury, Conn.) getting the first chance with a shot that crept over the bar in the 14th minute. The first two shots on target for Hartford would come in the 35th minute with a pair of saves going to Kyleigh Murphy. The Hawks would jump in front in the 45th minute as Chávez found sophomore Kaylee Benson (Higganum, Conn.) who made an acrobatic finish with 45 seconds left in the half to give the hosts the advantage into the break.
- The Hawks stayed with the ball in the early going getting two more attempts on goal in the first 10 minutes of play drawing two more saves for Murphy. Freshman Taylor Freimuth (Terryville, Conn.) would take a chance in the 63rd minute which forced Murphy to punch it away for a corner. Sadler would step up lifting the corner to the back post finding the head of junior Olivia Flores (Trumbull, Conn.) who would finish the goal to double the Hawks lead. The Leopards would generate just a single shot, but it would miss the target as the Hawks held on for the 2-0 shutout win.

Reese Sadler (Newington, Conn.). "We have been practicing those corner kicks at practice a lot so it was good to finally finish one. We really had to be patient today. We waited for our moments and they came like we knew they would."
Inside the Numbers:
- Benson notched her second goal of the season and her second game-winner as a Hawk. Flores registered her second collegiate goal in the win.
- Chávez was excellent getting her first assist on the season, while Sadler picked up her third of the year with the corner assist.
- Madelyn Nunnemacher (Sutton, Mass.) remains perfect with a 7-0-0 record, while also getting her third shutout of the year.
- Murphy made eight saves in the loss for Wentworth.
- Hartford held a 67-33 percentage advantage in the game while also 18 corner kicks to 0 for the visitors.
- The Hawks outshot the Leopards 21-1 with a 10-0 on target differential.
