WINDSOR, CONN. - The Hartford men's golf team co-hosted the Trinity Bantams/Hartford Hawks spring invitational at Keney Park Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday Apr. 4th and 5th. The Hawks would tie for seventh place.
Rapid Recap:
- Freshman Manolo Vargas (Medellin, Colombia) would lead the way for Hartford coming in 17th place, with a 71 in the first round and a 74 in the second round.
- Freshman Griffin LaLonde (Montclair, N.J.) and freshman Zack MacMillan (Toronto, Ontario) would tie for 24th with a combined score of 147 over both rounds.
- Sophomore Ethan Archibald (Heath, Texas) and freshman Shawn Amari (Townsend, Mass.) would come tied for 42nd with combined scores of 150 over both rounds.
Inside the Numbers:
- Hartford would finish with 22 birdies over both rounds.
- The Hawks would finish with an overall score of +26
- Hofstra would take home first place with an overall score of +7
- Hofstra's Hank Kancher would take home first place shooting -7 through two rounds.
