Six Hawks Named to College Sports Communicators Men's Track & Field / Cross Country Academic All-District Team

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Track & Field / Cross Country teams were announced with six members of the Hartford men's track & field featured. 

The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® and Academic All-District® Teams program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. To be considered for inclusion on the Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® cross country team you must be a top-50 individual performance at the 2025 NCAA regional competition. To be considered for inclusion on the Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® track & field team you must be a top-50 regional ranking in single event (indoor or outdoor). 

The six Hawks named to the team were senior Tyrell Bailey (Willingboro, N.J.), junior Keller Casey (Charlton, N.Y.), junior Chris Hergott (Hamden, Conn.), sophomore Owen Klein (Coventry, R.I.), sophomore Aidan Quee (Springfield, Mass.) and junior Thomas Yonkers (Farmington, Conn.). 

Hergott and Yonkers are featured for the second-straight year. 

Bailey finished his senior year ranked 25th regionally in the outdoor shot put hitting a distance of 13.02 meters. 

Casey finished ranked in a pair of events in the outdoor season. Keller ended ranked 40th in the 10,000 meter at a time of 32:58.58 while also coming in 45th in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at a time of 10:32.39. 

Hergott finished the year ranked 1st in the indoor regional ranking and 10th nationally in long jump (7.34 meters), he added 21st ranking in the 60 meter and a 29th indoor ranking in the 200 meter. In the outdoor ranking Chris was 4th in long jump regionally and 31st nationally with a mark of 7.20 meters. He added 27th regionally in the 100 meter and 28th regionally in the 200 meter. 

Klein is named after a successful cross country season. Owen finished the 8,000 meter regionally ranked 37th at a time of 26:08.00. 

Quee ended his second season regionally ranked in two events in indoor and outdoor season. Aidan ranked 12th in the indoor triple jump at a mark of 13.53 meters while adding a 30th regional rank in the 400 meter. Quee in the outdoor season ranked 14th in the triple jump with a mark of 13.35 meters as well as ranking 14th in the 400 meter at a time of 49.22 seconds. 

Yonkers was regionally ranked 6th in pole vault for the indoor season (4.60 meters). Thomas added a 8th place regional ranking in outdoor pole vault at a mark of 4.40 meters.
