Made 11 appearances on the hill, all out of the bullpen … finished the season fourth on the team with a 2.18 earned run average, transitioning into the closer role midway through the season … finished the year with three saves, second most on the team … pitched a total of 20.2 innings and allowed just six overall runs, five of which were earned … gave up 17 hits and walked seven batters, while striking out 14 … of his 17 hits allowed, just two went for extra bases, both doubles … finished three games without giving up a hit, a total of five innings … longest outing of the season was three innings against Sacred Heart, not allowing a hit against the in-state rivals … first save of the season came against Quinnipiac (4.22) … posted saves against UMBC (5.4) and UMass Lowell (5.10) in back-to-back appearances.
FRESHMAN (2013)
Appeared in 17 games coming out of the pen as a closer … finished the season with six saves and fourth overall with a 4.03 earned run average … allowed 13 runs, 10 earned, on 26 hits, pitching a total of 22.1 innings … struck out 17 batters and amassed a 1-3 overall record in four decisions … longest outing of the year was 4.1 innings against UMBC (4.6) in conference play, helping the Hawks to a 3-2 victory … his lone win on the season came in one inning of work against Maine (3.24), striking out two batters and not allowing a hit … earned his first save in the conference opening series against Albany (3.16), again not allowing a hit and striking out two batters … struck out a season best three batter against James Madison (3.3) … earned additional saves against Binghamton (3.30), Stony Brook (4.12), Quinnipiac (4.16.), Maine (4.27) and UMBC (5.12) … named to the America East Academic Honor Roll for achieving a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
BEFORE HARTFORD
Played four years of baseball and one year of soccer at Cedar Cliff High School … recorded 86 strikeouts in 47 innings pitched as a senior, sporting a 2.40 ERA … finished two games with a no-hitter … named Firs Team Mid-Penn All-Star, First Team All-Sentinel and Third Team Patriot News Big 11 in 2012 … as a junior was selected to the Capital Region team, competing in the Keystone Games … was the winning pitcher of record in the Gold Medal game of the Keystone Games … helped lead his high school team to its first AAAA District Championship in 2011 … helped lead Post 143 to the Cumberland County American League Championship with a 1.69 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched … member of the National Honor Society and was presented the 2012 President’s Education Award in recognition of outstanding academic achievement … communication major in the college of Arts and Sciences.
